Course Description

The basic outline for Career Exploration is to explore, compare/contrast, and develop a better understanding of various types of careers. Therefore, students will be more aware of different jobs and occupations in life. They will be equipped with tools for pursuing and obtaining those opportunities in life.

Grading

I do not give grades! I expect each student to do his/her absolute best to earn the grades.

The student grades are weighted in the following manner:

60% - Tests

30% -  Class Work

10% - Homework

Attendance

It is extremely important to attend all class meetings because this class will be moving at a steady pace with numerous activities, notes, etc. Make up work will be difficult if a lot of time is missed. Make up work is completed at home and not during regular class time. Absolutely, no make up work will be accepted after two days. Make up tests will be scheduled on specific prearranged day. It is the student's responsibility to obtain and complete any make up work or test.

1. 3 ring binder                                      

2. college ruled paper                       

3. pencils                                                

4. erasers                                               

5. colored pencils                                   

Rules

1. Respect everyone

2. Be in your seat when the bell rings.

3.Come to class prepared.

4. Sit in your assigned seats daily

5. Follow directions the first time  they are given.
