Technology Rules

 

1.   No substitute teacher should turn on or use any computer.

 

2.   Teachers should not leave lesson plans that involve the use of a computer unless 

       under his/her supervision. 

 

3.   Computers should not be in use by students unless the teacher is in the room

        and under his/her supervision.

 

4.   In a lab situation when the student has finished his schoolwork on the computer 

      the student should move away from the computer and be given other work to

       complete away from the computer.

 

5.   Students are not allowed on Internet sites that do not directly relate to their 

       class assignments.  Computers are for schoolwork or homework only.  Students

       ARE NOT allowed to “surf the net.”

 

6.   No student or teacher should download or install any executable file or software

        of ANY kind.  Only technicians are allowed to install software.

 

7.   No student or teacher should change a system setting on a computer.

 

8.   On teacher computers, teachers should log out and student should log in before

        a student is allowed to use any computer.

 

  9.   Workstations are to be shutdown and turned off nightly by 11:00 p.m.  No

          exceptions.  

 

10.   Computers and printers should only be moved by technicians.

 

11.   A work order is required for computer problems.  Please turn in to the

          LMS.
