In this class, we will also take algebra objectives and apply them in geometric situations. The content standards in which the students will be investigating and learning will be based on the Alabama Course of Study for Geometry with correlation to the Alabama High School Graduation Exam for mathematics.

FOLLOW DIRECTIONS at all times.
STAY ON TASK. Pay attention, take notes, and complete all assignments. Use your time wisely.

PARTICIPATE IN CLASS. Stay awake, pay attention, and take notes. Ask and answer questions when appropriate.
NO food, gum, or candy in class. You may have a drink if it is in a bottle with a screw-on lid.
Students are expected to follow ALL school and county rules as stated in the handbooks.
Textbook:
The Geometry textbook is Glencoe's "Geometry: Concepts and Applications." This textbook can be found online at geomconcepts.com. Username: GEOCA Password: 7aspu49frU
The Advanced Geometry textbook is McDougal Littell's Geometry. There is no online book for this course.
Make-Up Work
Students are responsible for worked missed during absences. My homework is posted in a notebook and on the board. There is absolutely no reason why a student should not know their missed assignments.
Make-up assignments must be turned in on time- you have 2 days for every day absent. Previously assigned work is due immediately upon return to school.
Tests must be made up within one week of an absence to receive proper credit. It is your responsibility to come to me about making up a test. Make-up tests will be given in the morning before school begins or during an elective class with the teacher's permission.
Things to consider:
If you miss the day before a test or a quiz that was previously announced, you will be required to take the test or quiz on the day you return to school (the scheduled test day).
If you are absent from school on the due date of an assignment that has been planned in advanced, you will be required to turn in the assignment the day you return to school.
Hall Passes:
Students will be allowed four passes out of the room per nine-weeks for emergencies only. You will have a sheet in your binder that I will initial when you need to use a pass. After these four passes you have used, the student will not be allowed to leave the room. Class time is valuable! If you are not in class, you miss important information.
