General Rules of Conduct:

1. Respect me - this prohibits any action that is disrespectful to me, the teacher.

2. Respect others - this prohibits any action that interferes with another student's ability to learn. In general, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

General Classroom Procedures:

1. You are expected to be on time for every day for this class. If you show up late without a note from another teacher, you will be given a tardy!!!

2. You will come to class prepared every day. This means bring a book, your notebook, pencils, a calculator, and any materials that I have asked you to bring to class on a particular day. Failure to bring materials necessary for class will result in a write up.

3. You are allowed to go to the restroom when you have to go. However, you will not be allowed to leave every day. There is a pass on my desk but you must ask before taking it. Bathroom breaks are limited to five minutes unless there is an emergency.

4. You, and you alone, are solely responsible for all assignments given.  Any student found cheating will be given an automatic zero and written up.

5. Make-up work will only be accepted after the absence has been excused by the office.  All make-up work is to be placed in the make-up tray for this class.  All make-up work is to be turned in within a multiple of 2 days per absence.  For example, if you are out 3 days consecutively, you have 6 days to turn in your make-up work.  Make-up tests are to be made up within 3 days of an absence.

6. NO FOOD OR GUM ALLOWED AT ALL!!!   You can have drinks in a bottle, if they have a top.  No cans or cups.

Materials needed for this class:

1. A scientific calculator - will not be provided!!!

2. A 3-ring binder with paper and pockets on the sides.  All notes and graded work is to be kept in this binder until the end of each unit.
