Topics Covered: Students will be instructed in the required areas of the Alabama Course of Study for Chemistry. The materials covered in this class will also reflect what the student needs to know successfully to pass the Alabama High School Graduation Exam.
Make-up Work Policies:
If a student misses class it is his/her responsibility to get their assignments.
Students have two days per day missed to make-up assignments if the absence is excused. Unexcused absences are automatically zeros by board policy.
Students going on field trips are considered present at school and are responsible for assignments done in class that day. Tests missed will be made up the following day.
If a student misses the day before a test or quiz and it had already been announced, the student will be required to take it the day it is given.
Students who fail to make up the work they miss in the specified time frame will receive a zero for that work.
Disciplinary Policies: Demerits and tardy slips will be handed out according to school procedures as listed in the handbook. Writing definitions or sentences will also be used as a form of classroom management.
