Materials needed for the class: writing utensils, binder with loose leaf paper, textbook, journal.
Sociology is the study of human relationships. We will be studying sociology very broadly, focusing on how human beings interact with other human beings, the environment, culture trends, and various social trends. Research gathered from various news publications will be read, researched, and discussed in class on almost a daily basis. I am sure that you will find this class very enlightening!
You will be tested on chapter vocabulary. These tests, as well as classwork grades, final exams, and projects will determine your final grade.
There are two planned projects: 1. poster reflecting social changes 2. music/personality project. These will be explained at a later date.
Parents - Please feel free to contact me at anytime! I would be more than happy to meet with you at your convenience. The only thing I appreciate more than responsible, respectful students is concerned parents. You can call the office and leave a message, or you can log on to our school website (shstigers.com) and send an email. I look forward to hearing from you!
