Classroom  Rules and Expected Behavior

 

1.    Be seated and ready for class before the tardy bell rings.

2.    Be prepared for class. Always bring textbook, notebook and a pencil.

3.    Always be considerate to others. 

 

Expectations of Student and Grading System for Plane Geometry 

Test:    There will be a 100 point test given each week. (as time permits) A study guide will be given the day prior to the etst identifying concepts to be given.

Quizzes:     Quizzes will be given as often deemed necessary and will be averaged with homework at the end of each four-and-one-half weeks.

Home Work:     Homework will be required to keep a notebook of all homework assignments given. The notebook should be a three ring binder that contains an assignment sheet and each assignment listed by date, page and problems. Each student should also keep a record of daily and test grades on the assignments sheet. The notebook will be graded by a 100 point test given after every twelve assignments.

Nine week Average:     There will be a nine week grade coming from the average of weekly tests, notebook tests, homework, and quiz averages.

Make-Up-Work:     Assignments are given almost every day, so it is important to make up the work missed because of an absence. Make-up work is the responsibility of the student, this includes finding out what was missed and reporting to me. There will be at most two days for make-up work. No grade will be given after that time

Tutoring: Any student in need of extra help with the subject matter or make-up work can see me any morning at 7:30 for tutoring.
